v2.7 — New Features

And just like that Q1 is over in 2023. That’s a great opportunity for us to release a bunch of improvements based on all the feedback we received as we cross the 200 users mark on Stomio! Also check out our fancy new website! 🥳


New Features

(1) Flagging open text feedback

When getting a lot of open text feedback, you might want to surface a specific feedback for future reference. Now you can flag any open text feedback and it will be presented in the results page. You can use this for customer quotes that you can use in your launch collateral for example.


(2) Managers can respond to open text feedback

Your testers will voice their opinion and share their thoughts. If there is a specific feedback you want to follow up on, you can easily start a chat with that tester using one-click action. Customize the message to your liking and start a conversation to dig deeper.

(3) Ticket title edits

As a manager, you will get a lot of messages. Sometimes you end up with 4 tickets titled “I have a problem”. Now you can edit the title of any ticket so it can accurately describe the content. Testers can edit titles as well in case they made a mistake.

Improvements

(1) Testers can easily access public tickets from their betas

We added a new tile in the tester view so they can easily access public tickets where they can engage with the rest of the testing community

(2) Tester auto-focus for open text steps

We noticed that testers need to click on text input field to type their feedback. So we took that click away from the flow. Start typing right away

(3) Tester shipping information as columns in user table

If you add shipping information as required fields in your beta, that information is now automatically added to your tester table


(4) Improved input design for star rating and slider steps

We noticed that some managers are missing that ranges in rate and slider steps are editable. So we improved the design to make it more visible

(5) Increased character limit for text feedback steps from 300 to 1000 characters

Pretty self explanatory. We love feedback and want testers to write a lot of feedback!


(6) Added hover action for selecting tickets in Comms

Tickets in Comms are now better highlighted and easier to click on

(7) Managers can ping pending testers from the beta tester table

Pinging potential tester so they can sign up to Stomio is a powerful feature. Managers can easily access that from the Testers page inside of the beta

(8) Improved .CSV output to make it more Excel friendly

We received feedback that “our .csv output sucks” so we made it suck less :) now you can use the .csv output in your Excel file to run pivot tables and all kinds of Excel wizardry

Bug Fixes

1- Fixed a number of error messages to make them human readable

2- Fixed the notification message when adding new testers to a beta

3- Fixed border design for custom workspace profile information for testers

4- Put a character limit on the options in single/multi choice steps

5- Spaces and special characters are allowed in workspace names

6- Fixed a bug where beta history is out of order in the admin view
