Stomio Inc. describes how it collects, processes, uses, and discloses certain information obtained through your use of our website at https://stomio.io. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for broader privacy information.
What are Cookies?
Cookies are small files that are stored on your mobile device or browser through the Site. These files enable site recognition, store your preferences, and track information including visited pages, device operating system, device ID, IP address, and geographic location.
Types of Cookies We Use
Necessary Cookies
These cookies allow the best possible experience when accessing and navigating through our Site, including account recognition and previous visit tracking. These are strictly necessary for the site to function properly.
Functionality Cookies
Functionality cookies enable the site to operate in accordance with the choices you make, such as remembering usernames and customizations you have applied. These improve your experience without being used for tracking purposes.
Analytical Cookies
Analytical cookies enable us and third-party services to collect aggregated data for statistical purposes on how our visitors use the Site. These cookies do not collect personal identifiers and aim to help us improve the overall user experience.
We use Google Tag Manager to load Google Analytics. Google Tag Manager itself loads for every visitor, but whether it may store cookies is governed by the consent settings described below.
Advertising Cookies
We use the Reddit Pixel, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to measure which of our Reddit ads bring visitors to the Site and to show our ads on Reddit to people who have visited. When it is allowed, it sets a first-party cookie (_rdt_uuid) and sends Reddit the pages you visit and actions such as booking a demo, together with an identifier for your browser. Reddit handles that information under its own privacy policy.
Advertising cookies follow the same regional defaults as analytical cookies, described below, but you can turn each category on or off separately. When advertising cookies are off, the Reddit Pixel does not run at all.
Your Choices and Our Defaults
What happens before you make a choice depends on where you are, because privacy rules differ by region:
- In the United States, analytical and advertising cookies are enabled by default. You can turn either off at any time using the Cookie preferences link in the footer of any page, or by declining on the cookie banner.
- Everywhere else, and wherever your location cannot be determined, analytical and advertising cookies stay off until you accept them.
If your browser sends the Global Privacy Control signal, analytical and advertising cookies stay off regardless of your location. We treat that signal as a request not to assume your consent, and as an opt-out of sharing information with advertising partners. It does not prevent you from enabling either category yourself afterwards, if you choose to.
When analytical cookies are off, Google still receives basic measurement about the visit. That measurement sets no cookies and carries no identifier for you, though, like any web request, it still reaches Google with your IP address.
A choice you make on the banner or in the preferences dialog applies regardless of region, and is remembered in a cookie named stomio_cookie_consent for 180 days. If you turn a category off, we also delete the cookies it had already stored on your device.
Managing Cookies
You may stop your browser from accepting cookies altogether by changing your browser's cookie settings, typically found in the "options" or "preferences" menu of your browser. Please note that disabling cookies may limit the functionality of the site and your experience using it.
