Stomio v1.3 is released! Thanks for our early adopters for their feedback to improve the product. This is a meaty release packed with features, improvements, and bug fixes!
New Features
We are very excited to share new capabilities now available on the platform based on early feedback from our users.
(1) Admin Menu
There is a set of capabilities that are inherently Admin only. So we added a new role in a workspace: Admin. Admins can change workspace settings, change roles for their teammates from Admin to Manager (or the opposite), enable tags for their workspace, and enable future integrations.

(2) Tags
If you use any productivity tool, you have experienced the power of tagging. In this release admins can enable tag categories in their workspace so managers can tag their testers with custom tags. This is the first step towards a larger vision that includes smart tags, and tagging tickets!

(3) Chat
We heard great feedback about tickets and how it is more personable than ever to have a conversation between product teams and their testers. But tickets are initiated by the testers so the feedback is to enable managers to proactively reach out to testers from Stomio to initiate the conversation.
With Chat, managers can select a testers or a group of testers and send them a direct message through Stomio. This could be a follow up on a step result or simply a reminder to finish a task. If the conversation turns out to be actually a ticket (bug or idea), the manager can convert the thread to a ticket with a click of a button.

(4) Assigning tickets to managers
On our path to reduce overthinking for managers, we added the ability to assign a ticket to a manager. This brings clarity to product teams who have multiple managers in the beta around who is the point of contact to interact with the tester for that ticket. Managers can self-assign and can assign multiple managers to a single ticket.

Improvements
We keep improving the user experience on existing features and capabilities for the platform. We monitor our user behavior religiously so we can keep improving the experience and reduce friction for everyone.
(1) Announcements
Announcements is a powerful feature that enables product teams to send broadcast messages to their testers. We received a number of enhancement requests to the feature so we overhauled it to include sending an announcement to a subset of testers (using tags!), the ability to attach a picture/video/file to the announcement, and the ability to track how many testers have received the announcement and how many of them have opened it via email or in Stomio.

(2) Opening a new ticket in the same window
We reduced the number of screen jumps when opening a new ticket by having the ticket module appear in the same window as tickets.

(3) Going back when finishing a task
We added the ability for a tester to go back to the last question in the previous task when they finish a task
(4) Clickable cards
Clicking through cards for various actions such as expand/collapse is now easier by clicking on the card header
(5) Clickable usernames
Finding out more information about a user is now much easier by clicking on the username. This action will display a popup with user profile information

(6) Improve visibility of the results button
When the beta is active, we improved the visibility of the results button in beta details so users can more easily dig into the feedback

Bug Fixes
We had a big QA sprint and fixed a number of bugs found in our automation and manual testing. We also fixed below bugs reported by our early adopters. Thanks for making our product better!
(1) Auto-fill when one beta is active
If there is one beta active in the workspace, when reporting a ticket, the beta name field is auto-filled with that active beta to reduce clicks
(2) Tickets for archived beta
We fixed a bug where there is a new ticket in an archived beta, it still shows up when filtering tickets by active betas
(3) Links in the platform are hyperlinks
All links in the platform are hyper now regardless of where they appear
(4) Auto-expand step results
When digging into a task to see feedback, all steps are expanded by default for ease of access to that information
