When you build a lot of products, you need to gain as much efficiency as possible. Setting up a beta program can be overwhelming. With Stomio templates, you can leverage internal knowledge and some default templates to get into your tester flow design quickly and cut down on the time needed to create a world-class beta program.
Creating a great flow for your tester is not an easy challenge. You need to think about their journey throughout your product, break it down into meaningful tasks, and provide enough instructions to guide them through their tasks while probing for feedback to capture it as raw as possible.
When you build and launch multiple products, you start to notice certain tasks start to repeat themselves in the flow (e.g. overall product feedback at the end). With workspace templates, you can save any task in your flow as a template that is shared with every other manager in the workspace. So the knowledge is shared and the time to set up the next beta is slashed.
As a Manager, navigate to your beta → tasks. You will see the flow you have created. Click on the task you want to save as a template. In the steps window, click on the ellipses and click on the “Add as template” button.
That’s it! Now this task is saved as a template for anyone in the workspace to use. In order to access this template and use it, navigate to your project → tasks. Click on the template icon “Template”.
A panel on the right side will pop up. Click on “Your templates” and you will see all of the workspace templates. You can use a template in your beta by simply clicking on “use” and that task will be added to the end of your flow. Then you can customize it, move it, delete it, or do whatever you want with this task.
